Q: What is FOSNI?
A: FOSNI literally stands for Friends of Santo Nino, Inc. For more about us, go to our MISSION and VISION pages.
Q: What is “Santo Nino”?
A: The answer to this one would take a lot of space. If you truly do not know, and wish to, a good starting place would be at WIKIPEDIA .
Q: Who owns and runs FOSNI?
A: A group of friends, presently based in the United States, who share roots with the Philippines.
Q: Is FOSNI an accredited, or officially registered, nonprofit organization?
A: Yes. We are officially registered in the United States IRS. Our EIN is available on legitimate requests.
Q: Does FOSNI welcome submissions?
A: Yes. Everyone is invited to send in his or her manuscripts, articles, artworks, etc. to the friends@fosni.com . Do bear in mind that all submissions must appropriately complement our own objectives and vision.
Q: How are contributors compensated?
A: FOSNI is a nonprofit organization and www.fosni.com is its bulletin . Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged but no monetary payments are given out.
Q: Does FOSNI guarantee publication of all submissions?
A: No. Contributions will be used as deemed consonant to our objectives.
Q: How can I participate other than sending articles and artworks?
A: As in any other undertaking, whether for profit or not, FOSNI does incur expenses to stay in operation and maintain its standards, therefore voluntary financial support from friends are most welcome and will be acknowledged.
Q: Will FOSNI accept “advertising”?
A: Yes, but only with unanimous approval from its membership. If you are interested, please send an email to fosni.info@gmail.com with particulars.
Q: Can I download materials from fosni.com?
A: Yes, but only for personal, non-commercial use. All copyrights are retained by individual contributors. Parties interested in reproducing any part of FOSNI’s contents are advised to contact their respective authors. All other design elements of the publication are protected under Philippine and U.S. copyright laws.
Q: Does FOSNI accept applications for possible grants or possible assistance?
A: Yes. Although we are still a fledgling organization, we do accept and consider applications. However, we reserve the right to respond, or not to respond, to every submission of this kind. A form can be downloaded HERE for this purpose.
Q: Can I link my site with FOSNI?
A: Yes. No notification is required, although we would appreciate knowing, if only to consider reciprocation.
Q: Are there any employment opportunities with FOSNI?
A: None at present.
Q: Does FOSNI need volunteers?
A: Yes. We need qualified individuals who can commit some of their time, effort, and financial resources. Contact any one of our directors, or simply utilize our Contact Page to reach us.
